President Denis Sassou Nguesso of the Republic of Congo attended the cornerstone laying ceremony for the office building of Pointe Noire Port

At 16:00 on the afternoon of December 23, 2011, President Denis Sassou Nguesso of the Republic of Congo (Congo-Brazzaville) attended the cornerstone laying ceremony for the office building of the Autonomous Port of Pointe Noire grandly held at the Loango Avenue of Pointe Noire. The State Minister of Transport, Civil Aviation, and Ocean Transport, DG of DGGT, Ministers of sevral Ministries, General Manager of the Pointe Noire Port, Ambassador of China and the staff of our company CGC were also present at the ceremony.

The project is financed by the government of Congo-Brazzaville and contracted by our company CGC. The construction period is 24 months. Covering an area of 16,000 sq. m., the 16-storied office building of the Pointe Noire Port close to the Atlantic Ocean is a part of the modernization construction project of the said Port. The sailing-boat shaped building is equipped with offices of all departments, an assembly room for 1,000 people, restaurant, monitoring system, four elevators, etc.
