Niger project department signs contract to aid two Nigerien primary schools

On December 5, 2011, the Niger project department of China Geo-Engineering Corporation International Ltd. (CGC) signed a contract with the Nigerien education ministry to aid drilling wells for two primary schools in the country. Under the contract, CGC will aid to construct two primary schools in Niamey, the capital city of Niger. Each school comprises 10 classrooms and some administration offices. The construction will last 14 months. The contract was signed by Xia Huang, Chinese ambassador to Niger, Liu Qixi, general manager of CGC Niger project department, and Ali MariamaElhadj Ibrahim, Nigerien education minister. The signing ceremony was also attended by representatives of CGC and senior officials of Nigerien education ministry. Mainstream media and television stations of Niger made field reports.
