IDINI-NKC Water Supply Project Groundbreaking Ceremony Held by Mauritanian Government

On November 20, 2024, the groundbreaking ceremony of IDINI-NKC water supply project was grandly held in Nouakchott, the capital city of Mauritania. Several senior government officials, including Mr. Mohamed Ould Ghazouani, President of Mauritania, Mr. Mokhtar Ould Diay, Prime Minister, and Ms. Amal Mint Mouloud, Minister of Water Resources, as well as Mr. Li Baijun, Chinese Ambassador to Mauritania, attended the ceremony. 

This project consists of supplying and installing 59 km DN1200 ductile iron pipeline connecting the IDINI water resource area to Nouakchott, in order to increase the drinking water supply capacity of the capital and alleviate the water shortage problem.

In his speech, the President said that the water supply project is a key initiative to safeguard people's livelihoods and promote economic development, and expressed his heartfelt thanks to all those that involved in the project construction.

Mr. Li Baijun, Chinese Ambassador to Mauritania, encouraged the project team to complete the construction with a high sense of responsibility, demonstrating the professional strength of Chinese enterprises, and emphasized that the project will not only benefit people's livelihood, but will also further deepen the Sino-Mauritanian friendship and cooperation, and assist the local economic and social development.

Inauguration and Opening Ceremony of Senegal MEKHE II Pump Station Project

On October 30th, 2023, the inauguration and opening ceremony of Senegal MEKHE II Pump Station Construction Project, which was undertaken by our company, was held at the project site. Senegal Prime Minister Amadou BA, Minister of Water Resources and Sanitation Serigne Mbaye THIAM, and General Manager of the National Water Company of Senegal Charles FALL jointly attended the ceremony and cut the ribbon. More than 300 people attended the ceremony, including local government officials, representatives from the investor French Development Agency, the operating company, and the public. Our representatives in Senegal were also invited to attend.

Equipped with electrical, electromechanical and ancillary equipment, the pumping station has a capacity of 9,000 m3/h, with civil facilities allowing for an extension to 12,500 m3/h and a 90/30 KV transformer substation. This is another significant livelihood project undertaken by our company after the successful completion of the KMS3 Lot 6 water supply project, which involved the supply and laying of 55 km of DN 1500 mm ductile iron pipeline.

The Prime Minister highly praised and commended the project, stating that once the pump station is put into operation, it will greatly improve the water shortage situation of the entire Thies region, as well as Dakar.

Launching of the Drinking Water Supply System Construction Project in 26 Villages in Benin's Alibori and Borgou Provinces

On December 26, 2022, Benin National Rural Drinking Water Supply Agency (ANAEPMR) formally signed a contract with China Geo-Engineering Corporation International Ltd. (CGCINT), marking the official launch of the Drinking Water Supply System (SAEPmV) Construction Project in 26 villages in Alibori and Borgou provinces. Funded by the World Bank and Benin government budget, the project contract value is about $100 million with a construction period of 24 months.

The project aims to address the long-standing water shortage faced by local residents and provide them with reliable sources of clean water, and improve their quality of life. As the Contractor for the project, CGCINT will work closely with ANAEPMR to ensure the project progresses as planned. This project will not only meet the basic water needs of the local population but also make a positive contribution to Benin's sustainable development.

Inauguration and Opening Ceremony of the Project of Girl's Campus of the Islamic University of Niger

On March 29, 2021, the inauguration and opening ceremony of the Girl's Campus of the Islamic University of Niger, which was constructed by our company, was solemnly held in Niamey. Niger President SEM Issoufou Mahamadou, the National Assembly President and the Prime Minister of Niger, President of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) and Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) attended the ceremony and delivered speeches. Representatives of some ministries and commissions of Niger, teachers and students, together with delegates from all walks of life and related parties involved in the project, and other representatives from international organizations also attended the ceremony. Our representatives in Niger were invited to the event.
 
The project was completed on January 15, 2021. Covering an area of about 11 ha, it includes 35 buildings with 5 colleges that can accommodate 2500 students. This campus is mainly devoted to young girls. The President fully affirmed the great contribution of the project to the social education’s development of Niger, especially to the development of young girls' higher education. He noted that the completion of the campus represents a solid step towards Niger's central goal of "demographic transition". The President also expressed sincere thanks to all partners who contributed to such an investment, and spoke highly of the construction quality of the project.

On the afternoon of February 22, 2021, President of Republic of the Congo, Mr. Denis Sassou N'Guesso inspected the project site of administrative building of Pointe-Noire autonomous port contracted by our company. His Excellency the President expressed satisfaction with the project after viewing the current project progress and its follow-up plan, accompanied by the heads of Ministry of Transport, Ministry of National Land Improvement and Large Engineering Works and the general manager of PAPN.
