Bulletin of the Taking-over Ceremony of China-aided Drilling Water Supply Project in Senegal

On October 8th, 2012, a grand ceremony was held to celebrate the taking-over  of China-aided drilling water supply project built by our company in Tainabe Village, Diourbel Great Region of Senegal. Representatives from China and Senegal attended the ceremony, including Mr. Huang Mingyuan, Economic & Commercial Counselor of China Embassy, Mr. Miao Xin, Secretary of Embassy, Mr. Wang Xiaozhen, vice president of CGC INT’L, Mr. Oumar Gueye, Minister of Water and Sanitation of Senegal, Mr. Faye, Director of Village Water Conservancy Bureau, the Chief Executive of Diourbel Great Region and some other local officials.

In the ceremony, representatives from both sides jointly signed the project handover certificate and transferred the key. They also inspected the site together. After that, Counselor Huang Mingyuan and Minister Oumar Gueye delivered a speech respectively. In the speech, Mr. Oumar Gueye sincerely thanked Chinese government and our company for the high quality well, which will solve the long-term drinking problem for the local people.

CCTV, China Radio International and correspondent of the Xinhua News Agency in Senegal, reported the ceremony, together with Senegal National Television and Senegal National Radio and some other local media.
