The Emergency Section of Zinder Water Supply Project Began Operating in Niger

Zinder Water Supply Project was constructed by China Geo-Engineering Corporation International Ltd.(CGCINT) and financed by The Export-Import Bank of China's Concessional Loan. The pipeline of emergency section of Zinder Water Supply Project was fully completed on 5 March, 2015 and began operating on 8 March, 2015.

The government of Niger shows its greatest attention on this project, Special state councilor Mr. MOHAMED BAZOUM, the minister of water resource Mr. WASSALKE BOUKHARI, the governor of Zinder province Mr. KALLA MOUTARI, the general manager of SPEN, the director of water conservancy bureau and other celebrities from local or international organizations attended this ceremony on 9 March, 2015. Mr. SHI Qinhe, Deputy Manager of CGCINT Niger Branch and also the project manager, was represented in this ceremony and accompanied visitors to see the construction site and facilities including pipe lines, pumping station and drilling site. Mr. WASSALKE BOUKHARI, minister of water resource, expressed his acknowledgement towards CGCINT for completing the 17km DN400 water supply of emergency section in two months which relieves serious water shortage problem in Zinder City.
